Robin Frazer Clark elected President of Georgia Trial Lawyers Association on April 28, 2006. Only the second female to be elected President in GTLA’s 50 year history. Pictured with Ms. Clark are Bobby Lee Cook and Immediate Past GTLA President, Glenn Kushel.

(Atlanta) On Friday, April 28th, Robin Frazer Clark became the second woman ever elected as President of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association (GTLA) at their Annual Convention.

“It’s an honor for me to serve as president of GTLA. And while being the second only female is certainly a distinction, GTLA has always recognized that true leadership is about content of character, leadership and action, regardless of gender,” stated Ms. Clark.

A practicing attorney of 18 years and current principal in the law firm of Clark Goldner, P.C. in Atlanta, Ms. Clark devotes 100% of her practice to representing plaintiffs exclusively in personal injury and employment matters.

The profession of law, especially in representing those individuals who have been injured by the carelessness of others, is a calling no less than is the Ministry. Every day of my practice I am honored and humbled to be able to help Georgia’s citizens obtain justice—sometimes in the face of insurmountable odds. Every time a client trusts me with his or her case is another opportunity to instill pride in our Civil Justice System, one case at a time,” said Ms. Clark.

In addition to being a staunch preservationist of the Civil Justice System, Ms. Clark is active throughout her community. She, her husband, and her two children are active members of the Saint Mark United Methodist Church where she is Vice-Chair of the Administrative Council. This year promises to be full of excitement and challenges for Ms. Clark as she will also be inducted as the Chairperson of the Litigation Section of the Atlanta Bar Association-it’s largest section. Ms. Clark also serves on the Board of Governors of the State Bar of Georgia.

“Being elected President of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association is the pinnacle of my profession al career… there is no higher honor for a Georgia Plaintiff’s attorney,” Ms. Clark stated. “I acknowledge and appreciate the trust the members of GTLA have placed in me to lead this outstanding organization. Sure, my life will be challenging being President of GTLA, Chair of the Atlanta Bar Association Litigation Section, as well as being a mother of two young children ages 11 and 8 and as a wife… but I view these challenges as blessings from God. I believe we are called upon to serve others, and I am one lucky person to have so many opportunities to serve.”

During her one year term as President of GTLA, Ms Clark’s responsibilities will include growing membership of the organization, overseeing publication of The Verdict, promoting GTLA’s unparalleled continuing legal education, and helping to direct legislative affairs.

GTLA is a statewide membership organization comprised of 1,800 attorneys, paralegals and law students. GTLA works tirelessly to support and preserve the Civil Justice System, the right to trial by jury, access to the courts for all people, and an independent judiciary.
